Japan 2015 Reunion Camp

July- August last year I had the incredible experience of travelling to Japan for a month for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree. Last weekend, I had the chance to reunite with some of the amazing people I spent that month with for the first time since we got back.

The reunion camp was held at Glenrock Scout Centre, south of Newcastle. With a gorgeous beach location it proved to be an amazing weekend of chill beach activities.

The other members of Delta Troop and I spent the first full day hiking from the camp to Merewether beach along the beach, then back through the mountains. While this provided incredible views it would probably have been nicer had we been a little more prepared- maybe not wearing thongs.

Each night we were visited by various possums, or would walk to the beach to enjoy the single patch of reception.

The camp was followed by over 5 hours on trains to get to Huskisson- where I am currently on holiday with my family.
